Designer Program Requirements
Membership of Today's Patio Designer Program is exclusive to licensed interior design professionals, builders and architects only. The following items and documents are required to register for membership discounts and services:
Valid State Sales Tax Certificate • Completed IRS form W-9 • Valid business license • Completed Trade Program application
A copy of your Tax Certificate must be presented at the time of purchase to qualify for Designer Program discounts. If a copy of the certificate is not available at the time of purchase, it may be submitted later, but MUST be received prior to delivery of the order. No product will be delivered until a valid state Tax Certificate is on file with Today's Patio. If you do not wish to pay sales tax on qualifying purchases, you must also complete a Transaction Privilege Tax Exemption Certificate (Arizona Form 5000). Only persons reselling products purchased from Today's Patio are exempt from paying sales tax. If your client will be paying Today's Patio directly, sales tax will be added to the sale.
Designer Program Discounts
Members of the Today's Patio Designer Program will receive exclusive discounts and special pricing on merchandise. Closeout and clearance merchandise (marked 20% off or more) is not eligible for additional Designer Program discounts.
Working With Our Staff
To ensure your discount or rebate, you must accompany your client to our store or communicate with us about how you would like to work together with your client before they make a purchase or receive a quotation.
If you accompany your client to a Today's Patio location, or make purchases on their behalf, you will receive your full Designer Program discount. Please discuss what amount of your Designer Program discount you would like to pass directly to your client with a salesperson prior to your visit. All or part of your Designer Program discount may be given directly to your client. Any remaining amount of your discount not given to your client will be reimbursed to you in the form of a rebate check mailed within 2 to 3 weeks of final product delivery.
If you prefer to send your client into Today's Patio to make the purchase directly with us, your Designer Program discount will be reduced. Please discuss what amount of your Designer Program discount you would like to pass directly to your client with a salesperson prior to their visit. All or part of your Designer Program discount may be given directly to your client. Any remaining amount not given to your client will be reimbursed to you in the form of a rebate check mailed within 2 to 3 weeks of final product delivery.
No Designer Program discounts or rebates are available if one of our staff members has worked with your client and provided a quotation prior to being notified that you are working with them. Please be aware that the sales staff at Today's Patio can offer consumers package discounts, and a large number of consumers usually ask for these discounts. Additionally, no Designer Program discounts may be combined with any other discount already offered.
Delivery Services & Returns
Today's Patio offers both "white glove" delivery service and curbside shipping/delivery to your clients for an additional fee. Please contact your salesperson for current shipping and delivery rates. Returns will be accepted within 10 days of product delivery provided items are in original condition with all labels and product tags still attached. Unless returned on the original delivery, product requiring additional pick up attempts will be subject to additional delivery fees and/or restocking fees. You, the designer/architect will be responsible for these charges. All returns are subject to current re-stocking fees at the time the product is returned. Extra Costs of Purchasing Direct or Through a Design Center
- Assembly Charges - Most companies will charge additional fees for product assembly if it takes more than 30 minutes.
- Warehouse Charges - Often, companies will charge fees for receiving and warehousing product; even if for only a short time.
- Storage Fees - Some companies will charge additional fees for storing product until your client is ready to take delivery.
- Will Call Charges - Even though you're picking up your purchase yourself, some companies will charge $25-$50 for will call pickup.
- Freight Charges - You will be responsible for all freight charges from the manufacturer, and sometimes these charges are marked up.
- Warranties And Freight Claims - You will be responsible for handling all warranties and freight claims for your client.
- More Paperwork - With all of the extra responsibilities placed on you, you won't have the time you need to take care of your client.
