Natural wicker furniture should be cleaned regularly. For dust and light dirt, a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment is recommended to remove dust from the crevices. Synthetic Wicker tends to be more durable, and less prone to rot and splintering than Natural Wicker. This is not to say that you should not take proper care of it; instead, good maintenance will make it last even longer.

Direct sunlight and rain exposure can quickly deteriorate every material, no matter what it is. It is hard on paint, and the natural wicker fibers can unravel and crack. For this reason, covering up your furniture while it’s not in use, or storing it away during the rainy season is your best chance to keep it looking amazing.
